14 May 2013 : Interviews of Tier 4 applicants at the time of application

From 27 May 2013, if you apply for a Tier 4 student visa you may have to sit a short interview when you attend the visa application centre to submit your application and biometric information. The interview will focus on your reasons for coming to the UK; this is known as a credibility interview. A report of the interview will be sent to the visa officer who will consider it alongside your visa application and supporting documents. You may be called for a further interview if the visa officer needs more information.

  VFS Global is a commercial company, working in partnership with the UK Border Agency at the British High Commission here in Bangladesh, providing services to help people apply for a visa to enter the United Kingdom (UK).

Who decides if I will get a visa?
  Your visa application will be processed and decided by UK Border Agency staff. VFS staff do not play any part in or influence the outcome of your visa application. If any member of VFS staff claims to be able to influence your visa application, you should notify in writing the Head of Visa Services at the British High Commission in Dhaka.
