Visit the visa application centre
All visa applicants (apart from
exempt categories and children under 5 years) must apply in person at the
visa application centre to submit their biometric data. Although
exempt categories and children under 5 do not need to attend the visa application centre, they will need to complete a visa application form. If you refuse to submit your
biometric data, your visa application cannot be processed. Applicants under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult when giving their biometrics; this cannot be a member of the visa application centre staff. Biometrics cannot be taken for visa applicants under the age of 16 who are unaccompanied. A visa application can only be processed after your biometrics have been taken.
Important note: You will not be able to submit further documents after you have submitted your application at the visa application. The documents you submit at the time you made your application are the only documents that can be considered.
Security information:
All applicants and their belongings entering the visa application centre will be subject to a security search. Separate facilities will be made available for ladies.
Mobile phones are not permitted to use in side the application centre, and need to be switched off while entering to the VAC.
Only applicants are permitted to get inside the VAC. Relatives, friends or any other person apart from applicant will not be allowed. Identity of applicant will be checked while entering the application centre.
For security reasons the following items will not be permitted inside the visa application centre or stored on the premises:

All battery operated or electronic items such as cameras, audio/video cassettes, compact discs, MP3s, floppies, laptops, or portable music players. |

All bags such as travel bags, back packs, briefcases, suitcases, leather, jute or cloth bags and zip folders. Only a plastic bag containing your application and related papers will be permitted. |
|
Sealed envelopes or packages. |
|
Any inflammable item such as matchboxes/ lighters/ fuel. |
|
Any sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail filers. |
|
Weapons or weapon - like objects or explosive material of any kind. |

The Data Protection Act prevents the UK Border Agency and VFS from providing information about visa applications to anybody other than the individual visa applicant or their authorised representative
