  • Visa application fees

    The visa application fees can be paid at any of the designated branches of BRAC Bank.

    Alternatively, an applicant has the option to turn in with a pay order / demand draft of the exact visa application fee amount in favour of the "British High Commission" but demand drafts only from Standard Chartered, HSBC, Sonali Bank, South East Bank or BRAC Bank are acceptable. There is a bank processing fee of BDT 150 when paying the visa application fees in cash at the bank counter inside the visa application centre.

    Dependants are charged the same fee as the main applicant. All dependants who are travelling must pay the fee whether or not they are included in the main applicant's passport.

    The visa application fee reflects the administrative costs of processing an application and is not refundable if your application is refused. If a payment has been made and the application is not submitted or if the applicant refuses to provide biometric details with their application, then we will refund the fee.

    Please note that if you apply for a 1, 2, 5 or 10 year visit visa and the visa officer decides that only a 6 month visa is appropriate, there will be no refund for the difference in fees.

    An official receipt should be obtained for all payments made.

    These fees are effective for all visa applications made from 8 June 2009.

    The consular rate of exchange is £1 = BDT 115. Please note the visa fees are subject to change.
